It happened last December. Sometimes before Christmas Daniela Z. came over and brought me Christmas cactus. It was beautiful, small and had a lot of small red buds. We were both hoping that it will be in bloom around Christmas. It didn't. After one week the buds were dry, however the cactus was nice and green so what? In May when the spring eventually decided to arrive in Toronto I put the cactus on my balcony. Of course, this year I don't have my jungle garden, but it doesn't mean that I haven't any flowers and herbs. The Christmas cactus is between the oregano and the lavender. The cactus enjoys the fresh air and sun. It is growing very well. It is now June and cactus is in bloom. It started in May with big red buds. I asked my friend Daniela S. /this time my friend Daniela in Martin/ what it mean? She has had a lot Christmas cacti for decades. She told me I may have an Easter cactus. I was told they are very similar. After that Daniela /this time from Toronto/ came to visit. I took her on the balcony and showed her the cactus. It was and is really beautiful, but she was not very happy. In fact she was very disappointed. I told her about Daniela's view and she said "but I bought a Christmas cactus!" I don't know if it's Christmas or Easter cactus - both events had past. It is June. And the cactus is beautiful. Isn't it?
